STANDARD PROGRAMS
STAGE 1 - Explorer Medicine - 1 day basic course designed to give the individual a grounding in wilderness medicine. This course exceeds the recommendations for the HSE recognised Appointed Person in the workplace.
STAGE 2 - Venturer Medicine - 2 day intermediate course is designed for group leaders working in the United Kingdom's remote areas. This course is recognised by all national outdoor governing bodies e.g. MLTB, BCU, IRATA, RYA etc. as well as exceeding the recommendations for the HSE recognised Appointed Person in the workplace.
STAGE 3 - Exploration Medicine - 2 day intermediate course designed for group leaders working in remote areas. This course is recognised by all outdoor governing bodies e.g. MLTB, BCU, IRATA, RYA etc. as well as exceeding the recommendations for the HSE recognised Appointed Person in the workplace.
STAGE 4 - Advanced Explorer - 2 day in-depth course designed for groups working overseas. If booked within three months of attending the Exploration Medicine course, the candidate will also receive the HSE approved First Aid at Work qualification.
STAGE 5 - ECP Medic - 2 day course designed for Doctors, Nurses, Expedition Leaders and anyone else interested in furthering their medical knowledge. This course involves using invasive techniques. Pre-requisites such as a current advanced first aid certificate are required for this course.
